A check-up call from my doctor's nurse a few days again seemed to imply that I should be checking my blood pressure regularly. So I went searching the WalMart website as the most likely place to find something basic and simple, a workhorse, if you will. I settled on this model (from Equate, the WalMart house-brand). As I was going to have labs done at the hospital today, and as the store was basically behind the hospital, I limped over and had time to pick one up before the bus came to take me home. It was very easy to put together, and this YouTube video showed using it was so simple. My first reading was 120/77, which apperently is a little elevated, but pretty good. An encouraging result for such a dark and tragic day. We never had a good track record using the models Mom and Pop had, I think because no one ever explained them very much to us.
