Well, today the other shoe dropped, and incredibly early in the morning. We have Helm Hammerhand (or as I call him, Viking Santa), his daughter Hera, and Wulf the Dunlending. The whole series has been a scratchy irritation at the back of my brain for a year. They're Tolkien-related, a insidious voice whispers; they are action figures! Never mind that they are dinky and not in scale with the Toy Biz LOTR. Well, this sets it all to rest. I need not think about them anymore. Now I just have to start worrying about The Hunt for Gollum (2027?). Andy Serkis is directing, and his efforts with the new Animal Farm are not encouraging. What will Hunt be like? I have no high hopes.
