Rocky and Bullwinkle started in 1960. By the time I started watching them (I guess I was 4 or 5) they were already near the end of their original run, but they would live on forever in reruns and in failed efforts to reboot them. But the era had passed, and the 'lightning in a bottle' that could only have been captured at that point in time remains elusive to this day. But we still have the originals.
If I have any criticism about this release is that it faithfully preserves the repetitive time-padding commercial break introductions, which after three episodes or so become rather wearisome. But I suppose it preserves the original experience.
Once upon a time we had many Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends bendies.
And this wind-up plane.
