Well, I knew I would have to at least try it, given my compulsive nature. Also, given my innumerate nature, I can't really count on my counting skills to be entirely accurate. So I tried to count how many books I have as of now, almost halfway through the month, almost halfway through the year. So far in 2025 I have 29 'new' books (some old books come back, of course) and 2,443 books altogether. That would put me only 7 books away from two and a half thousand books. Maybe. Of course, numbers mean nothing, but it feels somehow calming to my chattering brain to at least have an approximation.
