I posted about that little "Congratulations" planter before; I had feared that it had been "cracked then thrown away." But as you can see it had only been chipped, then stowed away with other stuff from the Loop Drive house. I also didn't remember the blue swirl on top; it was (is) pale and never drew much attention to itself.
But I had completely forgotten about that bowling mug. For years it sat on one of the living room sofa end tables, filled with a dust-gathering display of plastic flowers (do people still use boquets of plastic flowers to decorate?). One of the several bowling knick-knacks my parents had. Eventually it was moved to the mirror/shelf over the TV and used to hold nail clippers.
Anyway, they both washed up in the wake of my sister's garage sale cleaning. And they're going back on display in her tchotcke-filled house. Continuity!
