World Book and World Book Accessories

Yesterday, in an almost surprise visit (to me, anyway) John and his family came over to visit in the late afternoon/early evening. While he and I talked over many things, he was surprised to learn that we still had the reversible poster that came with our 1969 World Book Encyclopedia set, a poster that for many years was stored in the drawer of the old china cabinet. One side featured Farm Life, the other City Life. While I could not immediately lay hands on it, we soon found pictures on the internet. Other features of the encyclopdia were layered transparencies of frog and human anatomy (bound into the "F" and "H"volumes). These, while fascinating, always made shutting the books again something of a fiddly chore.

As you can see, they did tend to get wrinkled.
