During the years 1979 -1981, artist Luis Bermejo released a three-volume comic book adaptation of Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings, published in 10 different languages (including Spanish and Icelandic), but not in English. Copyright difficulties, apparently. Here are some samples I've been able to glean from various resources.
