Today I got a shot of steroids to help the pain and swelling where the cartilage in my right knee is wearing away. There was very little pain (when you have had a foley catheter everything else seems like cake) and I felt the effects almost immediately. Also my niece Kelsey took me to buy a new pair of sandals (counterintuitive, I know, for the immanent cold weather) and a new pair of support socks. So my feet and legs are well-provided for. My lowering blood sugar (from 300+ sometimes to a 149 average for the past two weeks) helped make the procedure possible. It seems I'm doomed to walk the earth a little while longer.
