Goku is famous for making friends with and reforming his enemies after defeating them in battle, though he does occasionally have to kill the more stubborn ones. Most notorious of the unrepentant is Frieza, shown above in the top figure in his many forms, including the one that looks disturbingly like a sex doll. That one launched an energy ball from its mouth. (And yes, I meant to spell those title words that way.) This concludes the Dragonball figures.

Never did find a Guldo to complete the Ginyu Force.

Out of the Toybox (17): DBZ Family, Friends, and Mentors

 

Lots of Goku's people, including some animals that came with other figures. Except for Mr. Satan's puppy, most of them could talk. Well, not the figures, but their characters in the show. I wish they could all have the same scale or level of sculpt; they began at a fairly crude level then grew ever more detailed as the show grew in popularity. I also wish I had a better figure of Yamcha (a low-level character who gained a reputation for being killed so many times in the series they actually made a Dead Yamcha figure) than that one of him in the pale lemon-yellow suit; this one would have been great:

Other Saiyans in the Dragonball series, including Bardock (Goku's father), Gohan (Goku's son), Vegeta, Trunks (Vegeta's son), Raditz (Goku's brother), Nappa, Broly, and Gotenks (a fusion). 

Out of the Toybox (15): Beaucoups of Gokus

Beaucoups of Gokus, in many of his forms and fusions. When my brother John and I were at the height of my toy buying frenzy, we would check on our various sources (largely Walmart at the time) and report the status of the shelves. If there was an overstock of certain figures, we would say that there were 'piles of Picards', 'dumpsters of Datas', and so on. If we could find a rhyming phrase (like 'beaucoups of Gokus') it was a bonus score.

Also a selection of smaller characters in the line and a bag of Dragonballs. Many of the figures came with two or three balls (I seem to remember). I have a segregated set of the Seven Dragonballs, each with their proper number of stars.
