Aesop’s Fables: A New Version Written by Munro Leaf, Illustrated by Robert Lawson (The Heritage Press 1942)
This slipcase version of the classic stories comes from the same team that brought us “Ferdinand”, the bull who smelled the flowers. Got mostly for the Lawson artwork, which I’ve admired since grade school. The 81-year-old slipcase is showing a little wear, and it has a bookplate for ‘James W. Williamson’.
