The Shadow Library: Too Many Magics

From 1980 or so. The appeal of Master of the Five Magics by Lyndon Hardy for me at the time was that it was published by Del Rey and promised to be more about magic than swords, as far as the fantasy went. I couldn't tell you, at this distance, what happens in the book. I only remembered it just now because I saw the cover art without the words on another site, and looked it up briefly on Wikipedia. Apparently it had two sequels and is now looked upon as an early example of a "Hard Magic" system.
