So having already read the first volume of K. W. Jeter's The George Dower Trilogy, Infernal Devices, today I got the concluding volumes, Fiendish Schemes and Grim Expectations in the mail. Although I have only just begun the second book, I am already intrigued. The hapless and dour George Dower, brought to the verge of desperation by the prior events of Infernal Devices, is once more drawn into the complications left over from his late father's ingenious inventions. I'm looking forward to some fun days of exploration, and I'm delighted in the inexpensive but handsome softcover printings by Angry Robot.
