What really qualifies as a Christmas movie? What really qualifies as ‘having’ a DVD? The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe takes place in a snowy landscape and Father Christmas makes an appearance. From Time to Time is set in the Christmas season, though it has little effect on the story. What of The Nightmare Before Christmas (image to come) or Rise of the Guardians? Can we be said to have a copy of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians when it’s the MST3K dub?

And speaking of which, I only have Jack Frost (aka Father Frost) in the MST3K form on a disc ripped from an old VHS tape. I have The Box of Delights with the same pedigree from an old showing on Nickelodeon. I need to get proper copies of them (I don’t think BOD is available in a format that will play in this region).

If I could get this package, I think I would have all the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials (Jack Frost is framed around Ground Hog Day, which is technically the last day of Christmas, Candlemas; the show includes specifically Christmas themed interludes).

Would it be worth it simply for completeness’ sake?
