It Strains Belief

Not ours, but a picture off Etsy.

“An "Exxon strainer" primarily refers to a popular vintage kitchen strainer from the 1960s-1970s, featuring the iconic "Put a Tiger in Your Tank" slogan and tiger logo, used as a promotional item by Exxon/Esso gas stations. These vintage kitchen strainers, often avocado green or brown plastic, are collectible kitchenware. Plastic pot strainers, often with a tiger on each side, part of the "Put a Tiger in Your Tank" campaign.” – AI summation.

I found ours this weekend when I was rummaging through a little used drawer, looking for Pop’s old pair of nutcrackers (Kelsey and Susan were shelling pecans). I was overwhelmed with nostalgia; I had brewed many a pot of tea with the help of that old thing. I thought my sibs might be interested in seeing it.
