"A Prized Family AIR-Loom"

The "fancy" china that we had when I was little was of this pattern by the Royal China Company. Most of it was reserved in our old china cabinet, with (occasionally) a coffee cup or two pulled out if we had an unusually large family gathering. The only piece in regular use was the sugar bowl, kept on the kitchen counter and brought to the table for cereal breakfasts. It's no wonder that it was eventually broken. The rest of the china is in pretty good shape; Susan has it in the same old china cabinet, now in her dining room. Years later I bought some pieces of a reminiscent set, called "Old Curiosity Shop".
