From ToyBiz. Seven horses from Middle-earth, including Shadowfax (the Lord of All Horse – no saddle, of course), Asfaloth, Brego, and several others, including two black horses belonging to the Nazgul (one of which I am almost sure the Ringwraith who rode it called something like Coalie).
Back in the day (say the late 70’s) we had a little jointed toy brown-and-white horse (made for cowboy figures, I imagine) that was just the right scale for our Knickerbocker Frodo to ride. We called it Bill. I think it still exists, lacking one leg, in the Big Wooden Toybox, which I haven’t looked into for years (it’s weighed down by an enormous 20-year-old Panasonic TV). Pop hisownself built that toybox.
