From the earliest time I can remember, Mom and Pop had at least one Patsy Cline record in their collection, and I think this was it. The Cline songs I remember most are "Crazy", "I Fall to Pieces", and "Walkin' After Midnight". But what really caught my eye in my toddlership was her resemblance to our grandmother Nanny, Mom's mother, as she looked at the time. I suppose it was the pantsuits, the curly black puffball of hair, and the, er, 'definite' make-up. Those gold socks (sandals?) were something she might well wear, too. Still, I like Patsy Cline despite her resemblance to Nanny, and still enjoy those old lonesome songs now and then.
