Roth confronts the Dragon Drang. This was planned to be, as it were, a 'boss' along the way in Goldfire, when they thought the Goldfire amulet was in his hoard. Lair destroyed, Roth thought lost in a 'Disney death,' yadda yadda yadda. I'm not sure at this late date what is the status of dragons on Ortha, but it was a Fantasy tale. Ya gotta have dragons.
