The Bone Pile

Sorry, no animations today - yet. I'm having some difficulties with my service. Also, I went bed at 11 PM last night, and got up at 1 AM; I haven't been able to sleep since, though I've gone cross-eyed with the need for it. Maybe posting this heap of dry bones will help me relax, one more daily chore checked off. Cue the Ray Harryhausen music.

Nine Short Films in Search of a Venue

The first, Brockhouse, is a remake of the first animation I ever tried, I think, and Weary Gandalf a remake of what could well be the second. Both from my own drawings. Master Belmok's muzzle somewhat degenerates into a huge nose.

Stolen Watermelon to Young Centaurs

I suppose there is a certain amount of creativity to the process. You select the image you start with; you assign it a style (photorealistic, fantasy painting, anime); often you have to choose a time of day or a setting. Then you have to try and correct the bizarre anamolies the AI will spit out, to the best of your abilities and extent of your patience.  The end result is unique, I suppose: a product of the nexus of your choice and the randomness of the program. Anyway, I think I'm done for the day.

Centaur to Godfather Death

Allfather to Boy and Genie

For the past few days I've been going over almost nineteen years of Power of Babel in search of interesting pics to enhance. It's been a strange experience going over it all so quickly; I see so many things I repeated and go over so many passing thoughts and interests. It's like a strange form of analysis. I think I'm almost done with my intense AI phase. It's almost fatally easy, yet takes up almost as much creative 'juice' as actual original work; it's like eating a bag of chips and ruining your appetite for a substantial meal. I'm not knocking it; I just need to have more control. But having decades of my own drawing and a cache of collected images to catch up with ... well, you see the results.
