Delta Quadrant
Who the heck is this?
Extra Bashir
Finally got the pictures to download; I'm hoping I didn't lose some somewhere somehow. Star Trek: Voyager ran from January 1995 to May 2001. With the starship Voyager flung into the distant Delta Quadrant, it was another step away from the restrictions of Starfleet and the Federation, which allowed for more complicated story arcs.
It seems to me that with each iteration of Star Trek the franchise was moved farther away from the aspirational ideals of a united beneficial galaxy force to conspiracies of governmental and military (and Starfleet is military in its effects) control and manipulation, to be opposed by brave, nonconformist rogues. Captain Janeway and crew had to improvise and compromise their ideals to survive, which nudged Star Trek closer to what it is now.
I'm almost sure that I have another Seven of Nine somewhere, in her more human form, and a Borg Queen. Found that extra Bashir in the batch, and I find that that other figure is Lt. Joseph Carey, engineer on Voyager before his death.
