The World's Desire, by H. Rider Haggard and Andrew Lang, Ballantine Fantasy Classic (This Edition 1978 with a cover by Michael Herring)
I'm pretty sure I bought my copy at old Cap'n Armstrong's Half-Price Books (not to be confused with the chain store Half Price Books). Like a fool I sold off my Haggard books after years of not finding She, the crown jewel of the series. Guess what I found soon after. Haggard and Lang. What a combination.
