Well, Morgul-Rats

I think I may have to just move my LOTR summations to Tuesday; Monday is too taken up with 'real-life' chores, and I'm going through a period of health complications that make things especially tiring. In the meantime, here are links to the first English trailer for The War of the Rohirrim, and a look at an analysis of the Japanese trailer.

Oliphaunts? Possibly, but not certainly; the Dunlendings had Easterling allies. A Great Eagle? THE WATCHER IN THE WATER? How do these possibly relate to the story of Helm Hammerhand as told in the Appendices of The Lord of the Rings? As least the appearance of Saruman in the Japanese trailer makes some sense, as it was in relationship to the outcome of this conflict that Saruman came to take up residence in Orthanc. The story seems to be concentrated on Helm's daughter, who never even had a name in the book. She was given a name by the writers (Phillipa Boyens among them): Hera. Hera? Sounds Greek to me.  At least that's what comes first to mind.
