Gangway for Miracles is a spoof of The Miracle Worker, with Edith Prickly (Andrea Martin) as Anne Sullivan and Catherine O'Hara as Mad Dog (Helen Keller). Rome, Italian Style is a parody of Fellini movies (by the way, I would love to find a copy of Amarcord with the cheesy English dub I first saw it in). And of course The Godfather is a take on The Godfather, but set in the cut-throat world of network programming, with Guy Cabellero (Joe Flaherty) taking the Brando part. A world away and a thousand years ago.
